Former guild aspirant and head of Basoga students at IUIU among the lucky few to perform this year’s hajj.

Abdulhaad Iwumbwe is a former stundent of Islamic University In Uganda and currently studying Language and Islamic studies at the International Islamic University of Madinah in the holy city of Madinah Saudi Arabia.

Remember that Saudi government recently called off this year’s pilgrimage informing the world that only a few individuals that would be identified are to perform hajj in a bid to fight the spread of covid-19.

Abdulhaadi was surprised upon receiving news that he was among the few that Saudi Arabian government had offered a chance to perform the holy Muslim pilgrimage this year.

Abdulhaadi who is a former guild contender, leader of Basoga Nseete Students Union and one of the imams at IUIU, graduated in 2018 with a bachelors degree in Environmental Science before receiving his scholarship to study in Saudi Arabia.
