FINALLY THE CITY CAMPUS OF IUIU DECIDED

IUIU Kampala Campus finally decided on who to lead them to the promised land. On Saturday 14th March students of Kampala Campus were at polling station as early as 6am ready to cast their votes.

The tight race between Omar Mohamud Abdallahi and Ssebi Mohammad ended in favour of Omar.

Omar Mohamud managed to 805 votes beating his opponent with 98 votes after scoring 707 votes.

The delay to vote was after the EC postponing the first set elections when the commission realized that both guild aspirants had not registered for the ongoing semester. An extra time of two weeks was given to candidates and and other students to register before taking part in the electoral process.

Omar Mohamud, a year 4 medical student at IUIU’s Habib medical school became the first medical student to be voted guild president in IUIU history across all campuses.

🍬Congrats🍬
